Hop-Talk is the brainchild of UK Beer Sommelier, Dave Culliton.

Dave has loved beer since his first pint back in 1983. However this affection mainly extended to drinking the stuff.

 

His recreational interest was overtaken back in the mid-Noughties as the UK Beer Renaissance took hold and new beer was flowing from all over the country. An interest in American and Belgian beer came next, closely followed by involvement in All Grain brewing on a small scale at home.

He was a founder of one of Buckinghamshire's largest independent beer festivals in his home village of Aston Clinton. In 2017 well over 100 beers and ciders went on sale.

Although not initially part of the Beer Industry cognoscenti, he put himself through the Institute of Brewing and Distilling Beer Academy curriculum, reaching the ultimate accolade of Beer Sommelier in June 2017.
